Raw Breakfast Oats Cereal Recipe

Another favorite recipe in our house, Raw Breakfast Oats. It's healthy, light, and quick...and let's not forget YUMMY!

Raw Breakfast Oats Cereal

You will need the following ingredients: 2 Cups Rolled Oats, Dried Fruit (I use dried cranberries), Almonds (or some other favorite nut), 1 apple, 1 lemon, cinnamon. Serves 2 regular servings or 4 small servings.


1. I soak almonds for about 8 hours (or overnight) but if you haven't the time you can use un-soaked.

These almonds have been soaked in water overnight.
They are double in size due to the soaking.

2. Soak oats in apple cider or apple juice with a squeeze of lemon or a tsp. of apple cider vinegar. Cover the oats with liquid and let soak for at least 10 minutes, longer is better. You can put your almonds in water on the counter before you go to bed at night and even put your oats in apple cider or apple juice and stick the jar in the refrigerator so when you wake up both are ready to use.

3. When you have completed step 1 and 2 and you are ready to prepare your breakfast, chop up an apple and squeeze lemon on it (this helps give it a zesty taste and keeps it from turning brown). Then sprinkle cinnamon on top.


4. Put soaked oats in a serving bowl and sprinkle cinnamon apple chunks on top of oats.


5. Sprinkle dried cranberries (or other dried fruit of choice) on top of apples, and then add chopped soaked almonds. You're done!


6. Now enjoy a healthy and tasty breakfast!!!
